Taos Weirs Installation

Selected Artist for ecological art installation at International Art Festival for installation and sculpture. This collaboration with photographer Nikki Gardner explored overlaid ecological communities. It integrated film projection from Eastern woodlands of a similar piece inspired by social geography and ecology and material from the landscape near Taos woven into a weir (a kind of fence) historically used for fishing. As a process piece, representative of ecological dynamics, visitors added their “story” to the piece. With each addition, the piece evolved to reflect the ecology fostered by the site and the Paseo.
