The planting plan and plant schedule Ecotropy provided was part of
\na team effort led by Rushing Rivers Institute, with funding from
\nCentral Massachusetts Trout Unlimited and Nestle Waters. After the
\nremoval of a series of dams and channels obstructing a small stream
\nin Central Massachusetts to help foster fish habitat, volunteers from
\nFitchburg State University helped to install the Native plants. The
\nplanting reflects appropriate facultative qualities of the plant communities,
\nprovides habitat value for birds, fish and small mammals
\nand provides social value for the community with a beautiful place
\nto go and learn about their local ecological communities.<\/p>\n
